I used different studio habits of mind when I was creating my signature stamp. For example I used "develop craft" I had to learn how to use tools and materials I was not familiar with. I had to use a little bobby pin to help get clay out of my A on my signature stamp. I also used half a paperclip to remove the extra clay off of the sides of my stamp. I had to learn how the clay worked too. It was frustrating at times because it wouldn't do what I wanted. The clay would become dry and full of cracks. I had to figure out how to fix my problem. Another studio habit I used was "engage & persist" I had to embrace my problems and mess ups. I learned that it is important to make mistakes so I can learn from them. Now when my clay starts to crack and fall apart, I know to take a paper towel and wrap it up for a little bit. By putting my stamp in a paper towel it became soft again and easier to work with.

As an artist right now I feel that I am a good artist. I am in the medium range for artists, I think. I hope to learn more about clay and artists. I am very excited for this semester. I will take different risks throughout the semester and try new things that I am not comfortable with. My goals I have for myself include doing everything to the best of my ability and getting in done on time. I want to make sure I do my best on every artwork that I do.
