Standard Evidence My artwork is me with all the things I love and love to do, around my head. My artwork is original because it’s about me and no one else. It’s the stuff I like and have so many memories with. My artwork expresses my identity just like Frank Big Bear. Some of his art expresses his culture and the things he loves. That's how mine and his artwork connect. They are both about ourselves. Artist StatementMy artwork is on a piece of paper and in the center is a self portrait of me. All around my head there are tons of different things I love/love to do. Here are some things around my head: Izzy (my dog) ,a campfire, a horse, a chick, a taco, fishing rod, little pants, and many more items. My big idea was to show some of the things that are important to me. Frank Big Bear inspired me to do this artwork, because he is passionate about the things that make him, him. My goals for my artwork was to make the face look kind of real because usually I don't draw faces and things like that. So I made a goal to try my harvest on something I am not very good at. Another goal was to try and fit as many things on the artwork that I like. There is so much more I would like to put on there but I got a lot of the main things on it, so I’m happy with it. My overall thoughts on the artwork are good. I'm very proud of how hard I worked on this art. The part I'm not very proud of is the smile. It was very hard to do. I erased it and redid it at least 100 times. It was a struggle. I watch so many videos. But it just wouldn't turn out of me. You can see in the process photo the smile I had, and in the end photo how I changed it. I thought about doing a closed smile but that wouldn't be “me” so I just stuck with the open smile. Even if it dont look the best I’m proud I didn’t give up on it, even if I wanted to.

I chose this artwork because it is very colorful and bright. It reminds me of Lake Superior. We go every summer, there are sailboats all over the lake. It's so peaceful there. That's why I like this artwork, it brings back so many memories. I have never seen this artwork before, but I feel like I have seen the technique somewhere. I don't recognize the artist though. I think the artwork is about a long time ago, when there were princes and princesses. This is because there aren't motor boats, there are just canoes and sail boats. There are also castles in the back. I think the artist created this artwork because they wanted to make a magical bright painting of the lake and the pretty sailboat sails. The artwork is very successful because it's so pretty and nice to look at. The artwork is made out of little dabs of bright colors. When you step back and look at it, it’s a picture! This is craftsmanship because the artist is using a certain technique. Here is another reason this artwork is successful. He designed it so cool because there are so many colors. You can look really close and just focus on one dot of color. This enhances the art work because it gives it more texture.
The three primary colors are red blue and yellow, and thanks to a song I don't think I will be able to ever forget that…The three secondary colors that come from the primary colors are green, orange and purple. The color that is found at the top of the color wheel is yellow. This is because yellow is the lightest and the brightest. I had a hard time finding orange, I’m not sure why but it was hard finding that color. My favorite item is the pineapples. They are so cute and tiny. My dog had a favorite too because when I was gone looking for items around the house I came back to her ON THE TABLE!!! She wanted to take her toy back! One of the pieces that stuck out in Mrs. Underhills artwork was Mr. Incredible. He has a red suit on. He just caught my eye. P.S: I’m not sure why the picture of the color wheel was blurr. On my phone, it was clear but once I put it on my post it got blurry.
I chose to do the photo collage because I thought it was really cool to look at the little things instead of just walking past a tree and not noticing all the details. Everything looks so different close up and it's so pretty and unique. I decided to saddle up Breezy and go for a ride to look for unique textures. I rode my horse down to the lake. I also rode a horse on a little woody trail. I used a slideshow to show all my pictures because I wanted it to be easy to see all the details in my pictures. I took pictures of moss, pussy willows, water, a tree budding, mushrooms on a tree, and there are two photos I took that I'm not sure what plant it is. One is a plant with little balls hanging off it, I think it looks like little pumpkins. And the other is a weird buddle of hanging things I thought were cool. And of course I took a selfie with my horse that brought me on the ride. It's hard to pick a favorite picture because they are all very unique. I think I like the one with the mushrooms on the tree because you can see all the little details on the mushrooms. What's your favorite? What I like about my artwork is how detailed the pictures are and all the different textures I found riding around. I think my art could be used to raise awareness because it shows how beautiful and unique Earth is. Standards EvidenceMy original plan was to make Groot out of ONLY stuff from outside. Once I gathered all my things I went inside to put it together. But when I tried putting it together with twisty branches it was hard and kept falling apart so I decided to use some hot glue. I started with just single sticks and thought it looked to skinny so I decided to add sticks to the body to make it more fat. I was kind of stuck on how big to make the head. My mom gave me feedback on the head and said it would look better smaller so I made the head smaller and I thought it looked better. Artist StatementMy artwork is Groot. I made him out of small sticks, moss, bark, string and hot glue. It looks like a little man with bark all over his body. He has big black rock eyes, he also has a small piece of string for a smile. I started making the body out of one small stick, the stick had two other sticks attached to it already. I used the sticks that were already attached to the one stick as arms. And then wrapped twisty sticks on the arms. After I put two sticks on the middle part of the body. I hot glued them and wrapped them in sting. I then found a stick that had multiple sticks growing off it. I thought it looked like hands so I clipped it off the branch. And had two little hands for groot. I then started gluing pieces of bark and moss on the sticks. Once that was done I looked for a head. I peeled off a big piece of bark off a tree and used a knife to shape it into the head I wanted. I accidently cut my fingers twice making the head. Then I grabbed to little rocks from the driveway and put them on his face. After that, I added the string smile and glued the head onto the body. My big idea was to make Groot the best I could and look realistic. I was inspired by the movies Groots in, I like baby Groot the most he's so cute. Then I decided to use material limitation because I would be able to only use stuff from outside. Even though I cheated a little with the glue and string. I am overall happy with my artwork I think it's very cute. And it was really fun using a material I have never used.
My plan for my artwork is to use stuff from only outside. I want to make Groot! My limitation is material. I have some different things going through my mind though with this artwork. Like, how am I going to put everything together if I can only use stuff from outside? I was thinking maybe I could have the exception of being able to use ONE thing from inside to help put it together. My art work is going great so far, I'm very excited to see how the little guy turns out because he is one of my favorite characters. What I plan on doing next is twisting some of the twister sticks together to create a base and then I will slowly build on that! Below is the material I have been gathering here and there. ( The bark has a little heart in it :) <3 ) The other picture is the sketches I did.
Emoji DrawingLatley I have been feeling all sorts of emotions, its hard to just pick one. I decided to do a half and half emoji. One side is happy and the other is crying. The reason I have been feeling happy is because I get to sleep in everyday. I also get more free time to be outside and ride horse. The sad side resembles me feelings for everything really. Like the seniors I feel so bad that they are getting all this stuff taken from them. I also feel sad for nurses because they are working so hard, my mom is a nurse and everyday she comes home very tired and stressed. I also feel sad for are loved ones because we don't get to see them.
Standards EvidenceI seeked out my artwork by searching tree houses because I always wanted one when I was little and I like to watch treehouse masters. I also wanted a treehouse that looks all mossy and different, like a hobbit house. At first I was going to make a house but then one day I was watching TV and an ad came up of a new movie. The movie is called Onward. In the movie they had little mushroom houses and I thought that was cool. I wanted to make one myself so I did. Some observations I had while I made my artwork is that it was a very long process. First I started making a tree like structure out of wire. After that I had to cover it with tin foil, this took a very long time and the proces got boring. Once I was finally finished I had to use modge podge and paper towels, to cover the whole tree again! The modge podge was very sticky and sometimes hard to work with. I accidently got some on my clothes and it won't come off. I soon finished covering the tree, now it was time to paint it. I painted it a dark brown. Once the dark brown dried I lightly painted a light brown over the dark brown. This gave it a more textured look, I really liked how it turned out. I then made a little mushroom house, I painted it red with white dots. I struggled with the clay sagging down. We decided to put a cup in the mushroom to help support it. It worked out alright. I used all sorts of materials I never used. Like wire, tin foil, modge podge with paper towels, and model magic. I'm still not done with my artwork because the techniques turned out to be such a long process. I still have to put the mushroom in the tree, and then make it look all mossy and green. I had a lot of fun doing this project and I still am. I liked using all new materials. I can't wait to see how it all turns out. Artist Statement My artwork is a mushroom tree house. The reason I made this is because I love treehouses and the outdoors. For my Architecture Artwork I wanted it reflect that. I created my artwork by using all sorts of things. Here is a list: styrofoam, wire, tin foil, paper towels, modge podge, different paints, and modle magic. I haven't finished my artwork yet but if I did I also would have used, moss, little rocks, leaves, and all sorts of stuff to make it look over grown and cute. I'm really frustrated that I didn't get it finished but the process of making the tree took a lot of time and effort, I didn't want to rush because I didn't want it sloppy. I really wanted to see how it would have turned out. I was almost done and then school got canceled. :( There's a lot more emotions behind this artwork than people would think. I got inspired to do this artwork because I love the outdoors, when I was little I was always outside exploring, climbing trees and playing with frogs. I also had a little fairy garden, they had little mushroom houses too. I want people to be happy and feel adventures when they see my artwork because if I seen something like my artwork in the woods I would want to go and explore it. This artwork also helped me reach a lot of my goals as an artist because, I have used all sorts of materials and techniques. At the beginning of the year we wrote are goals down and one of mine was to use different materials. I have also learned a lot because when I think of it I have some of these supplies at home. I could make a cool model of something if a wanted too because I learned how. Overall I learned a lot with this artwork even if I didn't finish it. I learned how to use different materials, how to be patient with long techniques, how to think out of the box and dig deep into my brain to find something that means alot to me. Sense I didn't finish my artwork I put a picture of a cute little mushroom house below, because that picture makes me happy and gives me the same feeling as I got when working on my artwork. I'm very frustrated that school got taken away from us because I really enjoyed coming in and working on my artwork, it was nice to just relax and have fun.
Recently I finished up art works. I changed my soap frog into a seahorse and painted it. I also painted my mask with watercolors. Then I carved a heart out of plaster. I made a new artwork thats a frog it's a cute little plushie. For my next art work i'm going to make a 3D hobbit house. Out of wire and air dry clay. I haven't figured all of it out though, i'm still thinking of ideas.
I used cardboard, wire, plaster gauze, soap and found objects. Out of all of the materials I liked using the found objects because, you could be so creative. It was a lot of fun to do. I didn't like the wire, this is because you had to wrap and wrap and got frustrating. It was hard to make what you imagined in your head, it also takes a long time to do. Some of my art works arent finished so they don't look the best!
